FAQ's

What if I need to miss a week?

If you are enrolled in Rookies, you’re welcome to simply attend the following week as the classes run continuously.

For Mini Minors, the program runs as a structured 7-week course where each spot is reserved for the full program. If you need to miss a week, please let us know and we will provide the lesson homework so you can practise at home. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer make-up classes for Mini Minors.

For Preppy Pups, please contact us if you are unable to attend a class so we can advise on the best way to keep your puppy progressing.

Can I bring the family?

Yes we absolutely encourage family involvement. Training works best when everyone learns the same skills. Children are welcome to attend, however we ask that they remain respectful and supervised during class so both dogs and handlers can focus. Preppy pups we ask that you limit family at our Ashmore Venue as space and seating is limited.

What should I bring to class?

• Your dog on a flat collar or harness

• Small tasty treats your dog loves

• A copy of your dog’s vaccination record (if not already provided)

• A water bowl if your dog prefers not to drink from a communal bowl

My dog is nervous or over-excited around other dogs — can we still attend?

Yes. Many dogs join classes specifically to work on confidence and focus around distractions. Our instructors will guide you through safe training setups so your dog can learn at their own pace.

Can I pay weekly instead of booking the full program?

Our classes are designed as structured programs and booking secures your place for the full course.

For those who need a more flexible option, limited pay-as-you-go attendance may be available for Rookies by arrangement only. Please contact us before attending so we can confirm availability.

Unfortunately, Mini Minors cannot be offered on a pay-as-you-go basis, as each dogs place is reserved for the full 6-week course.

We also offer flexible payments such as After pay and PayPal pay in 4 for all customers at check out.

What if my dog barks during class?

That’s completely normal. Many dogs are excited or unsure in a new environment. Our instructors will guide you through techniques to help your dog settle and focus during training.

What if my dog is reactive or struggles around other dogs?

Please contact us before booking so we can ensure the class environment is suitable for your dog. In some cases we may recommend a different starting point to help your dog succeed.

How long are the classes?

Most classes run for approximately 50 minutes, allowing time for learning, practice, and questions.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Classes run in most weather conditions. If a class ever needs to be postponed due to extreme weather, we will contact you with updated arrangements.

What kind of training methods do you use?

We focus on positive, reward-based training methods that build trust, confidence, and strong communication between you and your dog. We believe in training the dog you have In-front of you and our team is well educated in all forms of training methods.

Do I need to bring treats?

Yes. Food rewards are an important part of training. We recommend small, soft treats your dog loves so they can learn quickly.

Can I bring toys instead of treats?

Some dogs work well with toys, but most dogs learn fastest using food rewards in class. You’re welcome to bring both.

What if my dog is in season?

For the comfort of other dogs in class, please contact us if your dog comes into season and we can advise the best option.
